How does 911 work?

If you activate a deskphone such as Polycom, Yealink, Cisco etc. then 911 is mandatory and we will require you to activate it.
- When a user dials 911 we pass on the user's phone number and address attached to that number to 911 center.
- If a user does not have their own dedicated number then we will pass on the company number along with the company's address.
- If all your users are working from the same company address this works fine but if your users are working from different addresses the only way to pass on the correct address is for each user to have their own dedicated number. You are responsible to ensuring that each user has the correct 911 setting and address.
- There is a $2.25 charge per user per month for any user that has a 911 activated on their account. If a user has a deskphone this is mandatory. 911 fees are standard across all phone service providers.
Note: Since we are a cloud software provider our desktop application does not provide 911 service so make sure you and your users have alternative ways to call emergency services. If you'd like all of your users to have 911 address activated even for desktop application please contact us.
